    Inner Child Empty Inner Child

The Fourth of July brings to mind, friends, social gatherings, picnics in the park, and of course fireworks! I recently purchased some sparklers....the wonderful memories they aroused.....the sheer amazement of it all, bordering on the realms of magic. Oh to reflect upon ones childhood....chasing and catching fireflies in a jar, running your hands and toes through the warmth of a sandbox.....Swinging so high, that you are certain one can touch the sky, and lest we forget.....the splashing of each and every puddle that we may have encountered along our way. I have often wondered why as we age and mature, we loose the ability to experience the simple joys and wonderment we experienced when we were children. Perhaps we should pause once and a while and remember, reach down into the deep recesses of our souls and embrace the child we once were innocent and simplistic. Food for thought....the next time you find yourself in the hardened grip of life....give yourself permission to take a "time-out" for a bit....and regress back to the child one used to be....it could very well be just what the Dr. ordered for the weary.....
Go splash in the first puddle that you can find, and consider it your personal Fountain of Youth, and let your heart smile.
    Happy Fourth of July.
    Yours in the fire....
