MY HOUSE...
My house has many rooms, though some you’ll never see
And yet you seemed to think, that you should have a key
To each and every one of them without regard for me.
No holds barred, no doors jarred, my house a dumping ground
For anything that you dish out yet, no alarm should sound.
Just what in hell gives you the right to invade me so?
To tread upon my inner space as if it were a show--
A flighty piece of drivel, just there for your critique--
A silly toy, just for the joy of making me feel weak.
I’m closing doors forevermore, slamming as I go
No backward glance, you had your chance,
And now you need to go…
The last one will be the front door; let me show you the way.
Step it up, please hurry now! There’s no time for delay.
See I’ve moved on, made some plans to renovate my rooms
And in this case I must erase all traces of your gloom.
Before new friends and lovers come, to shower me with grace
And joy, respect and all the rest, that makes my home a place
Where love abides, and I’ll reside in blissful harmony
Round kindred souls, who make me whole, and won’t be harming me.
My house has many rooms, though NONE you’ll ever see.
For you the door will now be locked in perpetuity.
But if you choose to stand outside, you might just catch of view
Of a great girl, who gave you love but that you never knew…
My house has many rooms, though some you’ll never see
And yet you seemed to think, that you should have a key
To each and every one of them without regard for me.
